InStyle Essentials Perfect-Fit Tour
You can still catch the end of this two-day mobile fashion experience from the editors of InStyle. Today until 7 p.m., head to Woodrow Wilson Plaza near the Ronald Reagan Building to try on a collection of specially designed white shirts — but they're not just any white shirts. The line of three unique styles is the brainchild of InStyle editors, and each shirt is sized according to bra sizes — genius, right? Shirts are available from 32B to 40H, in a classic button-down version, a casual tunic, and a feminine bow-neck sleeveless style. Plus, InStyle's senior market editor, Dana Avidan Cohn, and fit consultants will be on hand to guide you, which means you'll definitely walk away with the perfect white shirt for your body. If you can't make it to the bus, you can shop the collection online.
Today until 7 p.m., Woodrow Wilson Plaza, Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center, corner of 13th Street NW & Pennsylvania Avenue NW; no phone.
Typecase Industries Fundraiser
Get a quick art fix with a fundraiser gallery show and art auction hosted by Typecase Industries, one of our favorite local purveyors of cool letterpress wares. On the roster: A showcase of letterpress prints, handbooks, drawings, and paintings; a raffle of assorted prints; workshops; and design and printing consultations.
Sunday, October 6, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Toki Underground, 1234 H Street NE; no phone.
Tomorrow, don't forget to drop by The Shoe Hive in Old Town to party with us and celebrate 10 years of cute shoes. Expect drinks, sweets, and giveaways — and us! (Did we mention that already?)
Thursday, October 3, from 6 to 9 p.m. The Shoe Hive, 127 South Fairfax Street, Alexandria. RSVP here.
Man Repeller Party
Next Wednesday, meet the one and only Leandra Medine when she makes her only D.C. stop to promote her debut book, Man Repeller: Seeking Love. Finding Overalls at the W Hotel. The shindig will feature tunes by DJ (and Beautified app founder) Hannah Bronfman, as well as an "arm party" station hosted by C. Wonder, beauty touch-ups by Nectar Skin Bar and IPSA for Hair salon, and massages from Bliss Spa. Sounds like the perfect recipe for girls' night out!
Wednesday, October 9, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. POV Rooftop at W Washington D.C., 515 15th Street NW; RSVP via email.
