With Consuelo Castiglioni's slightly awkward
take on silhouettes and strong support for the ugly-shoe movement (amen
!), we're actually quite surprised that for the Marni spring '14 runway show, this is the first time the designer experimented with another quirky wardrobe essential: the visor. With every lady sporting a face-framing headpiece, the collection took to the runway, looking like a perfect day in the sun for the ultimate Marni girl.
Either drenched in floral prints or draped in extra-roomy high-waist pants, Castiglioni's models embodied the unconventional beauty of the designs. Plus, as each look is paired with the label's chunky, platform sandals and shower shoes
, the show remained far from fussy, even despite the ladylike-waist cinching and completely bejeweled tracksuit. Yes, we said bejeweled tracksuit
. Visor, included.
