Being the suckers that we are for an in-your-face print, the newest offerings from Mother of Pearl spring '14 were immediately like candy to our eyes. Teaming with artist, Mat Collishaw, creative director Maia Norman has created yet another perfect mixture of eccentric graphics and modern fits that make for a collection that's as quirky as it is perfectly structured. For instance, an hourglass-shaped dress in a colorful quilting of blue flowers, a slightly boxy blazer with oversized leaves, or a playful, striped pencil skirt that flares out with a pink, fluted bottom is hard to resist. This all ties in with Collishaw's meeting of nature and culture. Of course, we also found ourselves drawn to Mother of Pearl's seasonally on-point fruit motifs, a big trend for fall, and obviously inspired by the symmetry-style Stella McCartney spring '11 collection.
