Brogues, sneakers, and embellished high heels were the shoes that captured the designer’s imagination this season. Though, you wouldn’t have guessed it at first, as the traditional leather puncturing detail on a brogue was enlarged till it almost looked abstract, when it appeared in stiff silk mini cocktail dresses. Elsewhere, the traditional sneaker's go-faster strips were blown up across sporty mini dresses with colourful slashes of PVC across the shoulders. All to brilliant effect.

Plus, the designer’s ongoing partnership with Swarovski Collective was on display for all to see in highly ornate cocktail dresses that dripped with egg-sized crystals. Katrantzou also incorporated Swarovski crystal into the motif emblazoned across PVC and even suspended crystal inside the PVC so that the bell-shaped mini dresses positively dripped with sparkle.

Colour, as is always the case with a Mary Katrantzou show, quite important. Pinks, blues, greens, and yellows were apparent in each and every look and it seems apt that the final song of the show was the Rolling Stones’s "She’s Like A Rainbow."

Yep, we’re calling it: Mary Katrantzou has, yet again, put forward one of the most memorable collections of the season.
