Fall Beauty Trunk Show
There is a new eco-friendly makeup haven in Oakland and it would like you to have some fun this weekend! Concept Forty-Seven will be having some of its all-natural favorites in house Saturday night to steam things up, while giving you the 411 on fall beauty. With appearances by Elizabeth Street Cosmetics, Beja Flor, and L'Aromatica Perfume, you will be restocking that vanity cabinet in no time! Tutorials to get you on the fast track to pro, giveaways, and in-person hang outs with some of the Bay's coolest beauty gurus will all be in store...literally.

Get back to the real essentials of the written word, because one of our favorite classes has returned! Join Makeshift Society and learn the art of calligraphy in the 21st century. If you are fearing that this may be a drab lesson in cursive, you will be pleasantly surprised to discover otherwise. Letting your artistic juices flow, learn a few tips that will make this year's holiday cards seriously memorable.

Modern Citizen Trunk Show
Is Tuesday the new cool night to be out on the town? According to Modern Citizen, it just may be. With a first-ever trunk show and sample sale, you can get the goods for a seriously smile-inducing price. If you've been such a busy-body that you haven't had the time to check out its website, there are tons of covetable pieces to choose from. Just to sprinkle on that extra bit of glam, there will be vintage jewelry curated by Sweet & Spark. Plus, covetable items by our fave new S.F. retailer, Half Hitch Goods.

Folsoma Microhood Party
Now a totally legitimate microhood (well, according to The Bold Italic, at least), the South Of Market region now known as Folsoma is celebrating its birth this Thursday. Join Sightglass Coffee, City Beer Store, Gama-Go, Citizen's Band, Bloodhound, Radius, and Triptych for a full night of mischief (or at least until 8 p.m.). There will be food and possibly even a few surprise sales to get you in the mood for a SoMa-style party.

Pie-Baking Demo And Contest
Whether summer is officially over or just beginning is kind of up in the air, but our inner clocks are starting to chime for autumn activities. And, a pie-baking demo and contest with the sweet trio from Three Babes Bakeshop in the absolute perfect match for our mood. If you are a seasoned baker who can whip up a mean crust, come show off the goods at 10 a.m. sharp — the winner takes home $200 big ones. For those aspiring bakers, the 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. demo will have you cookin' in no time. This holiday season, your family and friends won't know what hit their potlucks!
