The Ultimate Lazy-Girl Bloody Mary Recipe

One of our favorite meals of the week has to be Sunday brunch. However, omelets and waffles aside, no brunch would be complete without an eye-opening libation or two to wash it all down — or aid a killer hangover. Our go-to pick is a good ol' Bloody Mary.

So, to ensure that you are also always ready to mix up a Mary at a moment's notice, our friends at Double Cross Vodka shared an easy-yet-tasty recipe that does not include a premade mix, knobs of sausage, chunks of cheese, or any other obstruction that will get in the way of your sipping pleasure. In fact, you won't even have to worry about getting those little pesky black-pepper bits stuck in your teeth. And, as an added bonus, we happen to think that this is the perfect beer alternative on football Sunday.
The "Deconstructed Mary" has minimal ingredients but is full of flavor. We suggest swapping the regular tomato juice with V8 if you want a little more of a kick and a few, er, extra health benefits. This vodka and tomato-packed libation is so easy to make, you might already have everything you need in your fridge. Cheers to the weekend!
Ingredients:
2 oz Double Cross Vodka
2 1-inch cubes cucumber
1 bar spoon full of capers
1 oz tomato juice
Tabasco® sauce to taste
Steps:
1. Muddle cucumber, capers, and tomato juice.
2. Add ice, shake, and strain into a martini glass.
3. Before pouring into martini glass, put two drops of Tabasco into the glass and swirl.
4. Garnish with a slice of cucumber and sprinkle the top with sea salt and pepper.
