Matsuri Festival
Umami Mart wants to invite you to celebrate its first anniversary, and will be hosting a food-full bash to remember, Umami style! Try something new, like octopus balls, also known as tako-yaki, or stick to the classics like burgers and noodles. While you chow down, you will be entertained by Emeryville Taiko and DJ Chungtech, setting the night up for a crazy fun party. So, stuff your face and dance it off, all in the name of a great first year!

Meet and hang with founder Neka Pasquale, and maybe even pick up a few of the health guru's tips for natural living. Grab yourself a vegan dessert and get ready for a party that won't leave you feeling foggy the morning after!

First City Festival
Everywhere we turn, there seems to be a new music festival that we just can't wait to get to. The latest? First City Festival, debuting in Monterey for the first time ever, and bringing in some pretty serious names. With headliners like Modest Mouse, Passion Pit, and MGMT, moves will surely be busted out by attendees all around. While you aren't moving what your mama gave you, enjoy the sweet carnival thrills, and be sure to save us some cotton candy!

Do you live in a micro-hood? If you aren't quite sure, Google+ Local and the The Bold Italic can probably bring you up to date. This time around, the neighborhood in question will be the ever-bubbling Hayes Valley, and some of our favorite local spots like Azalea, Nomads, 2 Sisters Bar and Books, Proxy SF, Rand and Statler, and Lux SF (along with many more). With a handful of great locals providing discounts, giveaways, and freebies — how could you not make an appearance? 20th Street Block Party
Everybody loves a good block party, and it seems that it would be hard to rival those in S.F. Well, it's that time of year again and 20th Street is ready to host a night to remember. Mission Dispatch and The NWBLK present a whole nightfall of fun for everyone! You would be right to guess that the food and drink situation will be out of control with Fuki Truck, Phat Thai, Burr-Eatery, and Garden Creamery on the scene. As if that wasn't enough, there will be musical musings by Glass Decade, Hot Einstein, and OK FWY. It seems like the list of awesomeness is endless, so don't miss this street swingin' affair.
