Charlotte Olympia, the kitschy-cool shoe brand, everyone wants a piece of, has just surprised us with something completely different. Kitschy shoes for children! The Incy collection (just for girls), plays on the brand’s spider web logo (y’know, “incy wincy spider went up the water spout…) with a collection of tiny “Incy” shoes and even tinier “Wincy” slippers. The price range is on the steep side, think £75 upwards, but each bootie maintains the brand’s quirky aesthetics, with leopard prints, colour, and tutti frutti appliqués. Heck, there’s even a small-scale version of Alexa Chung’s favourite Kitty pumps — even more adorable in miniature.
Despite not having a girl, but two boys herself, Charlotte Dellal, the designer behind Charlotte Olympia, decided now was the time to finally launch a collection for the littl’uns who, "want to have fun and enjoy dressing from the feet up from an early age." Each little pair comes complete with a colouring book; 10 percent of the first month’s profits will go to UK charity, The Art Room
, and US charity, Art Start
. Yes, they might be a little more than you'd expect to spend on kiddy shoes, but when they're this cute? Sure, we'll shop for charity. (Charlotte Olympia)
