Print lovers get ready to fist pump. Celia Birtwell is back, mixing up the basics and adding her unique stamp to Uniqlo. Launching her second collection for the store on August 22, the new range will feature many of her archive pieces, reworked and refreshed for autumn.
Just like the first time, the collection will fuse Uniqlo’s simple silhouettes with Birtwell’s stand-out prints, and all within the affordable £70 price range. Only this time, there’ll be silks too (wit-woo), making up gorgeous shirts and pretty long-sleeved dresses. Speaking to Vogue about her movements, Birtwell said,"I had such a good time with my first season that I was delighted when Uniqlo asked me to do a second.” Aiming to capture Uniqlo’s young and fun essence with her pieces, the designer added,"I hope that people think they're fun, and will wear them with a smile."
