How To Ace Wedding Guest Dressing

If you’re going to a wedding this summer, it’s comforting to know that certain things are guaranteed: The mother of the bride will cry, cocktails will be drunk from Kilner jars, and the Grease medley will somehow make it onto the playlist.
Another certainty is that the days and weeks before the main event will be filled with mild wardrobe anxiety. Sure, it is technically the bride’s big day, but she’ll be insulted if you play it too casual. On the other hand, walking into the church kitted out like you’re en route to the Academy Awards might make it seem like you wished it were your big day. But, don’t worry. Whether you're headed to a slick evening ‘do, a hipster gathering, or a traditional country shindig, we’ve got you covered. Sartorially, anyway. Sorting out a plus-one and making sure not to overdo it on the Champagne are totally up to you.

Country Knees-Up — This is the perfect excuse to play with summer’s pastels. The '50s-style midi skirt is suitably ladylike and the blinged-out shades and Sophie Hulme clutch give the whole thing a sense of occasion. Pretty perfect.
