The only problem with finding your soulmate-perfect, totally flattering, Holy-Grail-level favorite lipstick? The fear — rational or otherwise — that it will be discontinued. Last year, MAC showed compassion for this special kind of torture that us makeup lovers experience with MAC By Request, a promotion that allowed Facebook fans to vote from a selection of beloved, discontinued shades to decide which coveted colors would would be available for purchase once again.
MAC By Request is back this year, with a new round-up of defunct lipstick and eyeshadow shades that will duke it out to be reissued in Spring of 2014.
The very best thing about this whole promotion is the fact that they allow their devoted fans to decide which shades get the chance at a second life. All you have to do to cast your vote is visit the MAC By Request page on Facebook — and if you're really passionate about a particular shade (we're totally gunning for the orangey-red-perfection Tomango lipstick), take to Twitter with the hashtag #MACBYREQUEST to give your favorite some extra love.
Only three lipstick shades and three eyeshadows will make it to the finish line — which one will you choose?
