When we visited Sea's downtown studio to view their resort '14 collection, we were blown away by the breadth of work accomplished in a single collection. "We could live in this for the entire year," we gushed. "And to think we have two months to do this all again," designer Sean Monahan replied as partner Monica Paolini bounced around the extensive racks, showing off immaculate drop-waist dresses, leather-sleeved baseball jackets, and rompers that were equally sexy as they are adorable.
The line is made up of seasonal staples that transcend the "resort" monicker with their transitional appeal. Printed pants pair perfectly with dressed-up sweatshirts, white eyelet reins supreme, and effortless frocks prove purposeful for day and nighttime wear. So, if you're not impressed by the sheer quantity of the items you can choose from when the threads hit stores (namely Barneys, Shopbop, and Net A Porter) come late fall, you can certainly dig your teeth into the quality of Italian fabrics and luxe leathers and laces that prove it's resort time 24/7.
