Sacai Luck has seriously spread its wings since its initial debut as a loungewear collection in 2006, and its new fall '13 collection basically has us wrapped around its finger. The line is like the grown-up's answer to back-to-school and plays up our favorite parts of schoolgirl style — plaid prints, oxford shirts, baseball bombers — in a way that's anything but your average uniform.
Of course, unexpected design elements are actually quite common when it comes to designer Chitose Abe, who's previously worked with Junya Watanabe. Abe has translated some familiar fall-style themes with a sartorial twist: puffer vests cape open in the back; full, pleated skirts bell out; Canadian tuxedos are sharper than ever; and thick-knit sweaters come with peplum waists. Plus, to top off the looks — and a huge chunk of our fall shopping list — is another seasonal tradition: a fresh new hairdo. Call it part-Patti Smith, part-coolest girl in school, and the perfect accent to everything we're coveting from Sacai Luck. See what we're talking about in the snaps ahead.
