With Phillip Lim’s CFDA win for Accessory Designer of the Year, it’s no surprise that the 3.1 Phillip Lim resort '14 collection is a hole in one. However, the award-winning accessories aren’t the only things keeping the line afloat. While some say "you win some, you lose some," Lim certainly overthrows that sentiment with his trophy-ready clothes.

His statement pieces are completely wearable while still pushing boundaries — there is a leather romper in there, after all. Lim also proves he can tackle (and conquer) graphic prints, perforations, metallics, and geometry, without abandoning his signature effortlessness and elegance.

In the resort collection, Lim took the every-gal staples like the moto jacket, high-waisted pant, and the T-shirt dress, and used his mastermind ability to mix prints and textiles to immaculate proportions. Plus, no essential was left unenhanced, resulting in an overall best-in-show aesthetic.

Peek ahead to see why Lim is true winner, through and through.
