New York’s king of the downtown scene, Keith McNally, is back in Blighty launching the much-anticipated London outpost of his French brasserie. The Covent Garden spot which is already on its way to becoming a nightlife staple (better book a couple weeks ahead if you want a reservation before 10:30). Slide into one of the burgundy banquettes below the antique mirrors and chow down on classic French brasserie dishes such as coq au vin, moule frites, or a posh burger made with 70-percent Wagyu beef. To match the high-fulutin’ mood of the resto, step out in a pair of monochrome cropped skinny jeans, a crisp white shirt, and color-pop, cross-body mini bag. A hint of leopard print in the form a statement flat is the perfect finishing touch.

The Clove Club
Opened on the ground floor in the historic Grade II-listed Edwardian-style Shoreditch Town Hall, this highly anticipated, crowd-funded restaurant from Upstairs at Ten Bells chef Isaac McHale and supper club aficionados Danny Willis and Johnny Smith, consists of two rooms with two different vibes. The restaurant serves an adventurous, five-course menu featuring unusual and often-overlooked British ingredients and produce that's served on tables made of reclaimed Georgian timber with black steel frames — but the real party is at the bar next door where you can pop in for a cocktail, sit on boxing spectator chairs from the building’s past life and order à la carte from a menu in the same innovative spirit of the main restaurant (grilled wood pigeon sausages, anyone?). To suit the venues' relaxed-yet-elegant vibe, dress up a paisley chiffon dress with peep-toe heels and a statement clutch. A tight ballerina bun and a slick of barely there gloss complete the picture.

Better hurry to this ‘60s-style retro diner from the Rushmore Group (which is also responsible for Milk & Honey, The Player, and Danger of Death), as the Shoreditch block it’s on is due to be demolished at the end of the year. But until then, we’ll be queuing up songs on the jukebox and feasting on finger-licking classics like juicy, bone-in steaks, buttermilk fried chicken wings, and burgers from Chef Carl Clarke, the man behind kooky pop-ups English Laundrette, God Save the Clam and most recent, Disco Bistro. With pint-sized cocktails and a DJ manning the decks on the weekends — and a 4 a.m. license — we think we’ve found our new favourite late-night dance spot. Celebrate the party atmosphere in a graphic-print skintight maxi dress, cropped biker jacket, and sky-high ankle boots. And obviously, don’t leave home without a statement necklace and ready-for-anything attitude.
