Miu Miu is never anything short of bewitching. Our eyes tend to do dances across Miuccia Prada's designs, and the brand has proven before that it has more than a few tricks up its sleeve. And, it keeps getting better — the latest collection works this magic in a quirky, more classic way.
For fall '13, Miu MIu sent a brigade of slick-haired models down the runway in striped, Wicked Witch of the East-channeling socks and charming handkerchiefs tied around their necks. The autumn designs included a bevy of oversized-collared coats, cinched-waist quilted jackets, and off-the-shoulder outerwear (an oxymoron we're digging). And the runway was not without its fair share of color. Bright, ruffled dress hems peeked beneath dark toppers and polka dots commanded attention in the more playful ensembles, giving the Miu Miu collection that signature daring edge we love. Plus, with outlandishly large handbags — including the largest backpack we've. ever. seen. — we're officially under Miuccia's spell.
