On Sunday, March 10, Katherine Anne Confections will host a truffle-making party at her Logan Square kitchen. Never been to a bash like that? Here’s what to expect:
At 2 p.m., you’ll ease into the chocolate-y day with wine, apps, and a little mingling. Then, you’ll get down to business. The candy-making hostess — Katherine Anne herself — will divide guests into small teams and teach each group to make hand-rolled truffles. How's that for mixing up your Sunday?
You’ll design your own candy flavors, and since it’s March, there will be plenty of St. Pat’s-inspired ingredients on hand. (Bailey's and Jameson? Check.) After three hours of melting, chilling, and scooping, you’ll be headed home with a bag of handmade treats.
