For a label that usually goes by the creed "more is more," Missoni's latest offerings are surprisingly subdued. Sure, there's still plenty of zigzags, chevrons, and space dyes, but done up in subtle, tone-on-tone ombré, the look is more high fashion than "zany Aunt Zelda."
Some of our favorite pieces are (be still our hearts!) just one color — quite the departure for the iconic Italian house known for its psychedelic prints. But a clean, white, column dress or lemon-yellow crochet skirt highlights Missoni's other area of expertise: its ability to do peekabo knitwear that looks sophisticated and sexy, not like a beach coverup. These crocheted pieces very heiress-goes-seaside — and no, we don't mean Seaside Heights.
