For fall '13 Amy Smilovic reimagined the most basic and most comfortable (Amy, for this, we thank you!) fabrics and signature closet staples for a collection that elevated street wear to a new and exciting level. Boxy sweatshirts and dresses were layered over sleek leather leggings and architectural skirts, while knitted hoods peeked from tailored tube tops and quilted vests sat perfectly beneath bold-colored statement coats.

Smilovic has already built her reputation as the designer for modern, cool, and effortlessly chic, but fall '13 further emphasized that the Tibi woman is also not afraid to be daring. We were most intrigued by sexy sheer details throughout the collection, matching pony-hair ensembles, and ribbed dickies that lay over — not under — graphic sweaters (who doesn't love an unexpected twist?).

And where coral prints and lobster skirts were some of the biggest Tibi takeaways of seasons' past, expect fall '13 to be all about slim pattered-blocked trousers and leather shorts — this time they're baggy and knee-length and definitely a new shape worth taking for a spin.
