Last season's BCBG show began with a single violin note and unfolded into a parade of leather harnesses marched to the tune of a melancholy "Heart Of Glass." A full five months later Max Azria and co. are giving us more of that same gentle badass vibe we applauded in September.
The collection was robust, with each look featuring clever layering and instant confidence to match. Delicate dresses looked at home over leather leggings, dramatic furs glammed up long tuxedo blazers, and cozy beanies made floor-length gowns all the more wearable from day to night. We're especially loving the mix of winter whites, more oxblood, steel grays, and duh, that New York black we can't get enough of.
Oh, and as for that music? You'll have to wait for our full New York Fashion Week playlist to hear all the tunes, but let's just say it began with a hum and was equally haunting as last year's offering.
