With creative keys as invites, we knew we were in for a treat with Lauren Moffatt's "Cabin Rentals" fall '13 presentation, and what was inside the cabin lived up to the invitation's promise of rest, relaxation, and wearable clothing, which we wish we already owned.
Providing us with a brief respite from the cold New York streets, Moffatt welcomed us in to join her models, clad in cozy-but-not-sloppy separates. And, obviously, there was an acoustic guitarist playing campfire tunes, to boot. The collection, inspired by a recent visit to the Catskills, was chock-full of Moffatt's signature girlish dresses, high-waisted trousers, and vintage-inspired coats — all proving that, when done right, a little country kitsch can keep any girl looking chic from the campsite to the big city.
Moffatt also introduced her new line of winter accessories, including printed muffs and fur dickies, which only served to further warm our hearts. Now, someone pass the s'mores.
