If you have a yen for the illicit, you'll feel right at home at Bill's Food & Drink — the blow-you-mind 19th century townhouse space used to be one of Prohibition's most notorious speakeasies. Of course, this eatery, from the dudes behind The Lion and Crown, is a little less roaring, a little more refined, with a gentleman's club vibe that feels fresh, not old man. We recommend noshing on the fine steaks (dry-aged for 28 days!) — but don't forget to start with something a little more, uh alcoholic, namely Bill’s Royal Rickey, made with Aylesbury Duck Vodka, Cedia Acai Berry, Chartreuse and fresh Ginger Lemonade.
When it comes to your ensemble, stay midtown refined without being too stuffy — we've mixed up the conservative look with interesting prints and pops of colors. After all, you might just find your Gatsby in the upstairs dining room.
