If there is one thing we love about Copenhagen's Fashion Week, it's that every fashion show feels like a giant party. But, if there were a bash that was the be all end all, it would, without a doubt, be the By Malene Birger show, which also celebrated the 10th anniversary of the designer's reign as queen of Danish fashion.
The champagne was flowing and the attendees were eager as everyone settled into the beautiful Royal Danish Theater for a fête fit for a king. As the lights went down and the curtain lifted, it was hard not to expect operatic vocals as we peered through our theater binoculars at the stage below.
Set to the sounds of David Bowie, the super-'70s collection debuted flowing silk pants and sparkly sequins on everything from evening gowns to suiting. We especially loved Birger's ladylike take on the skirt-over-pants trend, so much so that we were convinced women of every age can pull it off. Accessories-wise, the wide-brimmed hats and round bags only aided in giving this collection the air of sophistication and luxury befitting of Bianca Jagger, circa 1975.

Let's get one thing out of the way first: We're not saying anybody needs plastic surgery, fillers, or any other cosmetic enhancements. Love what you've got — that's our motto. At the same time, we know plenty of people who feel a bit better with their wrinkles softened or their nose straightened. That's okay, too. read
