With the weather the way it is (that'd be downright miserable), your hair philosophy has probably been to wrap an elastic around your locks, slap a beanie on top, and call it a day. We feel you.
However, we also know that you and your mane deserve better. And, as luck would have it, a look back at the spring '13 runway at Richard Chai
provided the inspiration for a pony that's still low-maintenance but packs plenty of punch thanks to the addition of an asymmetrical parting. Think low-key and unassuming, but with a fashion-forward edge.
We tapped Nicole Pizer, owner of Whiskey Divine Salon
on Hanbury Street, to recreate this knock-out ponytail on our lovely model, Natasha Lenart, a development assistant at Victoria Victoria Beckham. With a minimum of products and some easy-peasy maneuvers, Natasha's hair was straight-off-the-catwalk-cool within minutes.
Now, who'd dare to hide this baby under a beanie?Like this post? There's more. Get tons of beauty tips, tutorials, and news on the Refinery29 Beauty Facebook page!
