Captivating. Inspiring. These are words we don't toss around lightly. But when we saw Australian label MANIAMANIA's spring/summer '13 lookbook featuring the stormy-eyed Jamie Bochert, they were the only words we could think of.
Maniamania's latest collection is named Performance, and rightfully so, as its inspired by the iconic music era of the '60s. The Uschi Obermaier ring and the GTO pendant (named after the Frank Zappa groupies of the same name) join the gorgeous Whiskey Go-Go headpiece and Avalon Ballroom necklace in a salute to the era that inspired love of music, freedom, and love itself.
Though Bochert is a champion of the noughties, she's channeling mystics of earlier days (does anyone else see a Patti Smith resemblance?) for the collection. Featuring celestial rings, oversized quartz necklaces, and brass and amazonite creations, Bochert transports us to the days of the avant-garde and brings the baubles of MANIAMANIA to life.
