Tip: Rise and shine, workout-heads! “People find time to exercise early in the morning before work, which is generally a more successful time,” says Hutchins. “You don’t have the worry of getting caught up at work and missing your workout.” Need some motivation to set the alarm clock for 5 a.m.? “Set yourself a goal, such as midwinter race,” Hutchins says. “This way you’ll hold yourself more accountable to making it to the gym or going out for a run. There are 24 hours in a day, and at least one of them can be put toward your health.”
Working out as the rooster crows will “set the tone for your day, increase your energy, and maybe curb your sweet tooth a bit,” Hutchins adds.
Takeaway: Make working out your first priority of the day. Make saying no to doughnuts the second.
