Trainer: Corey Miller of Fitness Formula Club Gold Coast

Tip: Miller has four “rules” to show a busy schedule who’s boss. “Rule number one: book a workout in your schedule like a business appointment,” he says. “Rule number two: plan exactly what you are going to do during your workout. This will save time once you are actually at the gym. Rule number three: Pack your gym bag the night before. Don’t let lack of preparation keep you from making it to the gym.” And finally, don’t kid yourself! “Be realistic. Don’t over-commit to more days than your schedule can realistically handle. Start small, and you will eventually crave more.”

Takeaway: Not every week can be seven workouts strong. (Heck, even Jillian Michaels knows that.) Commit to three workouts this week, and four workouts next. And eventually, if you can squeeze in four to six workouts every week, send us your address: we’ll send you some gold stars.
