While, for some, the term "designer collaboration" may still bring to mind a diluted version of luxe, not-so-attainable wares, we have a feeling the latest team of low-meets-high will not be this case. The Duro Olowu for JCPenney collection was announced just a few months ago, and we're essentially waiting on pins and needles for shots of the merch to surface.

The British designer, whose runways are usually filled with the same inspired, mixed prints, is translating this palette for a much smaller budget — and we want in, now. So, in the name of a little holiday eye candy, we're taking a sumptuous trip down memory lane, with our favorite shots of the spring '13 collection. Olowu's line emphasizes classic, ladylike details, such as full skirts, nipped waists, flowing hems, and delicate ruffles, and everything here is a jubilant mixture of modern, quirky color combinations and retro flare (enter: the beehive).

Prepare for a mad dash when the designs finally hit stores and go up online, and hey, in the meantime, know that spring offerings are hitting stores not that far into the new year....
