WATCH: A First Look At Miss Wu, Jason Wu's Lower-Priced Line

For ladies who lunch, dames who dine, and socials who sip, Jason Wu is your guy. But for the girl who starts getting down before breakfast? It may be time to do a little mental recategoriation, because his new contemporary line for Nordstrom, Miss Wu, is for just that kind of person.
Says Wu to Fashionista, "The Miss Wu girl is, on the other hand, she’s a little more worn in, a little grittier, her hair is a little messier, her makeup might be from the night before." Sounds like our kind of broad.

To build up some hype before the January launch, Wu's released a teaser film in which model Meghan Collison does that post-dress-shopping shimmy we're all guilty of doing, while a live-in guy person having breakfast looks on. We're not going to delve into the whole male gaze here (for once), and focus rather on the clothes, which are good.
The springy, blue, chiffon frock is evidence that Wu is bringing his dress expertise to Miss Wu, and compounded with the two-look preview we got earlier this year (see images here), it's all about short hemlines, playful prints, and big, floppy, Rachel Zoe-style hats we're sure our West Coast readers will be all over. The 40-60 pieces will be much more affordable than Jason Wu's regular line, but don't think you're immune to sticker shock; prices will be between $195 and $795. (Fashionista)
