Acne Makes Itself At Home In Tokyo, We Want To Move In

What began as an independent design house founded in 1996, Acne is hardly small potatoes anymore. Today marks the opening of its first Tokyo flagship store and its first store launch in the entire continent of Asia. We applaud the Swedish brand for extending its global reach, and it's a milestone that comes as no surprise at all. If you haven't guessed it by now, we're big fans of the women's collection, men's collection, magazine, and pretty much everything the brand has its hands in.
Perfectly fitting for Acne's new Tokyo residence, the decor of the interior is designed to resemble a modern Swedish home — clean, simplistic, with pops of color. For the brand, this translated to slate grays, cool blues, and a set of pink chairs we have officially started hunting for. The space also includes open glass casing and a mix of hardwood and tile flooring, which all boils down to a look that's inviting and welcoming. The clothes sure don't hurt either.
Combined with the massive global influence of Tokyo-based style, as well as the still-growing popularity of the Scandinavian label, Acne's next step is global domination. Or who knows? An Acne flagship on the moon, anyone?
