Bright Future Trunk Sale
If all the frosty and tinsel-y holiday frocks and shop displays make you feel like the grumpy cat, this Bright Future trunk sale will provide some much-needed sartorial balance. The brand’s motto is “all black everything,” and its latest collection takes the phrase to heart, since every piece is dyed in the ebony shade. The dark, inky pieces — think sheer maxi-dresses, moto jackets, and slouchy cardis — can be picked up this Thursday at Rand + Statler. Trust, you’re going to want lock down these pieces in your future, stat.
When: Thursday, December 13, 6 to 9 p.m.
Where: Rand + Statler, 425 Hayes Street (at Gough); 415-634-0881.
Divisadero Artwalk
There are only a few reasons to brave the chilly air and actually walk leisurely outside, and one of them is definitely the Divisadero Artwalk. The increasingly buzzy strip will host over two dozen art shows, finger-lickin’ bites, and open houses at block faves like Rare Device. Workshop’s Kelly Malone is heading up the rendezvous, which practically guarantees the good times will roll.
When: Thursday, December 13, 6 p.m. to midnight.
Where: Divisadero Street (between Haight and McAllister streets)
Piper’s Shoe Parlor Holiday Party
One of our favorite shoe outfitters is pulling out all the (sleigh) stops for an ultra-festive holiday soirée, including hard-to-resist mugs of eggnog! And before you get all grinchified about the treat’s calorie amount, keep in mind your wallet won’t be as thin either, since the shop is giving a 20% discount on all merch! Gift wrapping will also be available for all your lucky friends getting some new steppers.
When: Thursday, December 13, 6 to 10 p.m.
Where: Piper’s Shoe Parlor, 1682 Haight Street (between Cole and Belvedere streets); 415-553-6884.
Aggregate Supply Grand Opening Party
It was just last week when we admitted having a Aggregate Supply. And now we get to gather with other shop-obsessors at its grand-opening bash! Come see what we’re sure will be your new local haunt in the flesh, while sipping back celebratory libations, and providing the "demand" to the store’s "supply" by shopping your heart out.
When: Thursday, December 13, 6 to 10 p.m.
Where: Aggregate Supply, 806 Valencia Street (at 19th Street); 415-643-4847.
Antique Jewelry Trunk Show
Who says jewelry needs to be fresh off the metalsmith board to make an outfit pop? Not us! And the folks at Metier must be reading our minds because it is unleashing antique bips and bops for us to get our Hollywood glam on. Peek into the space to try on the yesteryear bling, snack on some nibbles, and then expect to hear some “Where did you get that?” inquiries afterward.
When: Friday, December 14, 5 to 8 p.m., and Saturday, December 15, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: 14010 Vallejo Street (at Larkin Street); No phone.

Kindred Holiday Pop-Up
While some may want to give homemade presents to our friends on the nice list, not all of us are exactly handy with a pair of scissors. Luckily, we’ve found a little way to cheat! Kindred has curated the best goods that were made far from factories, and instead were expertly fashioned by the best of crafters. Head to this weekend-long pop-up and peruse adorable stationery, print-tastic bags, and sustainable candles in porcelain holders. Rest assured, Martha Stewart ain’t got nothin’ on them.
When: Saturday, December 15, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. to Sunday, December 16, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: Makeshift Society, 235 Gough Street (at Hickory Street); 415-625-3220.
