A Dashed-Out-The-Door Look Worth Trying, Even If You ARE A Morning Person

toronto-street-style-

Get dressed in the dark recently? That's happened to us more often than we'd like to admit (both literally and figuratively), but we still like to think our thrown-together ensembles are more rolled-out-of-bed chic than morning-after mess.

And to be clear, we're not suggesting that this Toronto street-style gem, Elissa MielkeI, suffered through the all-too-familiar alarm-clock fumble before getting dressed in this mix-and-match look, but her overall appearance reminds us of the kind of successful haphazard style we'd like to aim for in a rush.

Slouchy, printed pants, go-to leopard loafers (yes, they're basically a neutral), easy chambray, tousled waves, and a gorgeous scarf — it's the perfect formula for a very nonchalant finished product. And, as in the case of so many of the pieced-together looks we've created in a moment of haste, no one has to know how much, or how little, effort went into this look. Go ahead, print this out for inspiration and hit the snooze button. Again.
