To sum up Stella McCartney in a few words would be easy: simple, clean, feminine-sporty, vegan. Though Stella McCartney may have found a winning formula that she's stuck with, it doesn't mean that a collection via her hand is predictable. Like any really stylish woman we know, she's consistent (and it's no coincidence that the whole sporty, boxy, working-woman thing is trending right now.... Stella's led that charge).
One of her oft-used elements, sheer panels, showed up in the collection again with a new take on colorblocking, and it looked more like pools of paint on tracing paper than a Mondrian painting — sexy but nothing in your face about it (just how we like it). She tackled sheer again with over-skirts, roomy sweatshirts, and even open-toed stretch-top slip-ons (hello 1999). Without any OTT accessories or "creative" layering, Stella really let each individual piece sing and her simple styling take center stage.
