"Avant-garde minimalist. Nothing is what it seems and nothing need be what it seems."

What three pieces in your closet get the biggest workout?
"My Celine trouser, Dries Van Noten coat, and Ann Demeulemeester shoes."

Is it a challenge to dress in Sephora's black-white-and-red dress code?
"I never owned much more outside of black when I lived in New York and worked at Conde Nast and Barneys New York. And now when I have a color urge, I turn to expressing it with makeup."

What pieces do you find yourself constantly wearing at work?
"A Comme des Garçons flat dress, Dries Van Noten belted tan suit, Lanvin dress — in black, of course! Plus, the key favorite is my Celine bag, which is always heavy with books and sketchpads. It typically 'asks' to be belted in the passenger seat when I drive to work."
