Women in tech, and our own R29 developers — Technology is one sector that women are strikingly, notoriously underrepresented in, taking up only 25% of information-technology positions…but not for long. Though Marissa Mayer heralds change, and we're seeing more and more start-ups founded and built by women, we like to look at our own team of developers as proof. Eight of the 16 members of our tech team are brilliant, talented women — a welcome harbinger of wider-spread changes to come.
