Beige

To be perfectly square with you, we’ve never thought of autumn as a great time for soft, pinkish beiges. We just don’t feel peachy when the temperature drops, y’know. But a sweetheart look from Dior, a badass (yes, beige badass) quilted-leather jacket from Balmain, and a sweeping valentine of a gown from Jenny Packham ganged up and softly beat us into submission. We’re converts!

Now, because fall is a time where you’re still wearing more darks than lights, we suggest pairing your new, romantic beiges with colors from the other end of the spectrum. For an eye-catching effect, lay on two full coats of OPI’s black-olive “Nein! Nein! Nein! OK Fine!” then draw two Vs using “Don’t Pretzel My Buttons” beige. Top it off with some fine detailing with "Nein! Nein! Nein! OK Fine!." The result: a soft pink look with just the right amount of edge.
