Like a big, wet kiss on the cheek, rich rubies with a touch of purple (are you seeing a trend here?) bowled us over when they appeared on the runways of Kenzo, Miu Miu, Cynthia Rowley, and many, many more. As romantic as all this deep red is, it can be hard to rock from head to toe — luckily, we’ve got some nail art to cover that.

Not only does OPI’s “Danke-Shiny Red” bring that luxe, impossible-to-miss ruby to your nails, it has a starring role in this next composition. Start off with a layer of the mauve “Schnapps Out Of It!,” then create simple triangles using “Don’t Talk Bach to Me,” “Suzi & the 7 Düsseldorfs,” “Danke-Shiny Red,” and “Unfor-greta-bly Blue.” Edge your shapes with OPI’s “Nein!
