Undercover Superhero: The Best Toners For Every Skin Type

Toners may not be a vital part of every skin-care regimen, but we think they're the one product that doesn't get the proper credit it deserves. We use it to remove the makeup and dirt our cleanser forgot, to freshen up mid- day, and to perk our skin up in the a.m.
So, how do you know which toner is the best for you? Well, drier skin types should look for softeners that are alcohol-free and contain skin-soothing ingredients like rosewater and chamomile. Oily skin, on the other hand, requires mattifying formulas that contain witch hazel and lactic acid. All skin types looking for an exfoliating toner should keep an eye out for ingredients like glycolic acid and beta-hydroxy acid.
