Judging by the play on Instagram last night, at least among the Fashion Week set, Lady Gaga was trending. No wonder — after more than a week's worth of late night events, the singer still managed to attract weary front-row-ers all the way uptown to the Guggenheim Museum to celebrate the much anticipated launch of her first fragrance, FAME. Hosted by Haus Labrotories in Paris, plus Steven Klein (who directed the ad campaign), Nick Knight (who co-designed the bottle), and Gaga herself (in Prabal Gurung), it was hard to say no to an invite, despite the fact that full black tie and a mask was mandatory.
The scent, the first ever black Eau de Parfum, is described as a "fantastic innovation of patent pending fluid technology." No wonder, then, that the meat dress lover over-the-topped herself: After walking through a line of half-naked dudes wearing leather harnesses, we were greeted by the sight of Gaga "sleeping" inside a giant replica FAME bottle. Of course, you could stick your hands through a hole and touch the singer (cue those Insta "likes"). We also caught the premiere of Steven Klein's short campaign film (below), which stars a black latex-clad Gaga being climbed on by hard-bodied guys. Oh, and when that was done, we say Gaga getting a real tattoo from Mark Mahoney.
We weren't the only ones who got a kick out of the pageantry; Little Monsters on site included Alexander Wang, Oliver Theyskens, Marc Jacobs, and yes, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan (sorry girl, you weren't included in our slideshow). Click through to peep the antics from the world's most bizarre star, then decide for yourself if you're going to get sprayed. Don't forget to watch the video to get in the right state of mind.
