There's the type of fashion fan among us who appreciates the avant-garde, cut-and-slashed, is-that-a-hat-or-a-skirt trend, but stocks her closets with more practical things she can actually wear: flattering dresses, floating skirts, go-with-anything jumpsuits, and work-to-play blouses. Enter Rebecca Taylor. For spring 2013, Rebecca was inspired by her longing for Hawaii, while working in the city (a feeling we know all too well), and created a collection based on the laid-back wardrobe she would have brought with her, including jewel-encrusted dresses, bleached denim, soft moto jackets, and plenty of girlish prints. Maybe it's our bandaged toes and sore shoulders speaking, but a tropical vacation sounds ah-mazing right about now.
