Neon Lights
With a successful run in NYC and Las Vegas, Robert Babylon’s “Neon Lights” is sure to brighten up Washington Ave.’s already illuminated façade. The exhibit features “the beautiful women with whom [he] has fallen in love” and debuts this Tuesday night at the World Erotic Art Museum. We’re guessing by the overwhelming amount of fishnets and tutus highlighted, they were quite the SoBe gals.
When: Tuesday, May 22 to Wednesday, June 20, 7 p.m. daily, $15
Where: World Erotic Art Museum, 1205 Washington Avenue; 305-532-9336.
Miami Metropolitan International Fashion Week
While most cities focus on daywear and evening, Miami tackles another industry: Swimwear. For three gloriously fashionable days, Miami Metropolitan International Fashion Week (#MMIFW for the tweet savvy folk) presents an array of international designers, new and established, to show their latest designs within the three industries. Oh, and when you’re done going gaga over these foreign gems, don’t forget about the after parties at Gavanna Miami, Cafeina Wynwood Lounge, and Kyma Lounge. Tickets are available online, so snag yours ASAP; You don’t want to miss the debut of Miami’s next big week in fashion.
When: Thursday, May 24 to Saturday, May 26, 7 p.m., Tickets, $45-375.
Where: LMNT Art Space, 55 NW 36th Street; 786-548-0188.
