When you think art fair you, you might conjure up pieced-together crafts and boho skirts to match — but not at Frieze. After two jaunts over to Randall's Island, we now know this London import, housed in a giant, serpentine pavilion, is part exhibition, part social scene, part runway, not a surprise considering the galleries showing have a roster of some of the most buzzed-about contemporary artists. That edge-factor attracted an equally edgy crowd, making the isle-we-barely-ever-heard-of a hub of fashion, too. Of course, we braved the ferry to

So maybe all the girls and gals we shot aren't artists themselves, but they are masters of their own craft. It just so happens that skill-set gets to include strappy knee-high sandals, brightly colored tops, and all-purpose purses. Yep, we can definitely see ourselves investing in pieces like these.
