Black Satin

We blame Lindsay Lohan for this one. Back in 2006, when LiLo was at the height of her popularity and hadn't started her tailspin into drug addiction and legal woes, she was spotted with this glossy obsidian hue on her tips, causing all hell to break loose. The shade sold out in mere hours at some stores, while there was a booming black market eBay trade, with some bottles fetching prices of $100 or more.

Thankfully, Chanel replenished their stock and introduced the shade as a permanent addition to the line, meaning we can get our midnight mani on whenever our little hearts desire.
