One thing we're slowly starting to learn here in the Beauty Test Lab is that just because something offers us a shortcut, doesn't mean we should take it. While many products claim to make your day-to-day beauty routine easier, sometimes they just add unnecessary complications. This was unfortunately the case with the Beachwaver, a rotating curling iron that promised us hassle-free curls.
Since we've already discovered the secret to a perfectly curled coiff in an earlier how-to, we were a little skeptical on how this contraption could justify its hefty price tag. While the whirling gadget did turn our global editor's stick-straight strands into beautiful beach waves, upon watching the video and seeing the look of sheer terror on Connie's face as she attaches her hair to the 390 degree wand, you'll get why weren't all lining up to test it out.
