While we love the look of a full fringe, we hate how high-maintenance it can be. Bangs have a tendency to grow out very quickly, meaning frequent trips back to the salon to have your stylist get those annoying ends out of your eyes. But, what if you could skip the hassle of heading into the salon every few weeks and just trim your overgrown fringe on your own?
We asked Michael Angelo, owner of Michael Angelo’s Wonderland Beauty Parlor in NYC, to share his trimming tips. From how to hold your scissors (between your thumb and ring finger, for the most control) to the proper technique, this video will teach you everything you need to know to cut your own bangs (no, really). Soon, you'll be wondering why you wasted all that time at the salon.
