The big guitars and coy vocals of indie pop heroes The Pains of Being Pure at Heart may just melt yours tonight at the Bowery Ballroom. Supporting are the somnolent Twin Sister, whose dreamy meandering has veered toward a more disco-inflected sound for their upcoming LP In Heaven.

Beirut, Laetitia Sadier (from Stereolab), Terminal 5, $27
Francophone obsessed New Mexican crooner Zach Condon will lead his brass-based ensemble Beirut through two nights of epic singalongs at Terminal 5. Perhaps an even bigger draw (at least for us), is Laetitia Sadie, whose work with post-rock pioneers Stereolab birthed some of the best music of the ‘90s.
