3 Best: The Hottest Nail Art Spots In L.A.

3-best-nail-art-los-angeles-site
Granted, nail art is enjoying a renewed moment in the national spotlight thanks to a little middle-finger action from LiLo. But finger-art fanatics have been decorating their digits with insanely intricate designs for years now, and the possibilities are endless. Whether you want fishnets, watermelon, paisley, or just a little floral bouquet with a rhinestone flourish, we're got the three best resources for a SoCal lady who wants to turn her nails into a statement (expletives not necessary!)

1. CT III:
There's usually a wait at CT#9, so be sure to make an appointment in advance. Once inside, take a seat with Sam, the airbrushing artiste, who within minutes will have your paws painted in any style you like. Last time we got watermelon, but next we're asking Sam the Man to give us a swallow-print paint job à la Miu Miu's spring dresses!

CT III, 7854 Santa Monica Boulevard (at Fairfax Avenue); 323-654-9385.

2. Marie Nails:
Want a manicure that literally pops? Then Marie Nails is the spot for you. They are the masters of the 3D nails and are known for their bedazzling the digits of clients with glitter, crystals, and even turquoise beads. While we don't recommend this spot if you plan to be washing dishes or gardening anytime soon, for a fancy cocktail party where you want a good conversation starter, Marie Nails is certainly for you.

Marie Nails, 8616 West 3rd Street (at South Sherbourne Street); 310-550-5925.

3. Extremedy's Nails:
"Minx Master" Naja is a real manicure visionary. Her nail spa Extremedy's is known for its non-toxic ingredients, but her more extreme manicures for Lady Gaga and Fergie have included staples and nails (ouch!). For those of you who want a tamer ten, be sure you get one of her signature metallic Minx treatments: Naja swears the silver, gold, and chrome tones can't be mimicked with polish or airbrushing, and they're shiny enough to reflect light from a block away or in a dark nightclub.

Extremedy's Nails, 8001 Santa Monica Boulevard (at Laurel Avenue); 323-848-8094.

R29 GIVEAWAY:
