Ok, so there's good news and bad news. Bad news first: It looks like the rain is going to hit us hard on Monday and Tuesday. But keep the wails brief, because we have good news too: We've finally found some ultra-chic rain gear that won't cramp your style.

Local brand, Terra New York, has mastered a functional yet fashionable version of the raincoat, serving up a new crop of 100% waterproof shells. With a cinched-waist trench, a cropped cape, and a hooded parka, the silhouettes are so flattering you'd never know they hide a storm flap, a ventilation system, and heat sealed seams (so the water can't get in)! We also can't resist that the trench is named the "Tribeca," the cape is called the "Nolita," and the parka is lovingly deemed the "Lower East Side." Indeed, these are toppers made to tug at our heartstrings.

Click through to peek the designs (and cool X-Ray photos shot by Lionel Koretzky) — is it weird we're kinda looking forward to the next rainy day?
