Ali-Larter-bob-haircut
Now that it is finally starting to feel like fall, we're ready for a new haircut to replace our boho summer waves. What better way to transition to fall's more sophisticated styles than with a chic bob like Ali Larter's, here? According to Wella Professionals stylist Andy LeCompte, who gave Ali her cute new 'do, bobs are trendy right now because they can be so versatile, and because there are so many different iterations to choose from. "This season's bob has a bit of an edge to it — it's messy and a bit tousled, but it ends at the chin or just below it," he says. "Women are experimenting more, and are realizing that you don’t have to sacrifice your femininity if you cut your hair. I think we’ll be seeing a few more dramatic cuts even as the weather cools off."

Tempted to trim your tresses? The good news is that since there are so many bobs to choose from, there's literally one that will suit every face. "Anyone with a nice jawline and neck will look good in a bob. If you have a round face, a long bob is a better option for you," says LeCompte. As for your hair texture, LeCompte says that bobs work best on thin to medium hair — curls don't lend themselves well to the cut. "If you have curly hair, a bob will turn into a triangle on you, unless you get layers cut in and have the ends texturized. If you have fine hair, go for a 'graduated bob,' which incorporates stacked layers that give hair needed body and height at the crown. Add in blunt bangs or a fringe for a really edgy look," he says.
Are you going to rock a bob this fall, or will you stick to long locks?
