San Francisco's biggest stage during New York Fashion Week is no doubt the Academy of Art's MFA show, which is also the only student presentation that shows in the tents. This year's collection certainly did our city proud, with seven mini-collections that ranged from spot-on menswear designs in bold hues and patterns (David Doerr and a collaboration between Lisa Nguyen and Jen Chen) to womenswear pieces that we instantly coveted (Dipti Irla's richly textured fabrics and Meredith Acton's easy-breezy minimalism with a twist). Which pieces stood out the most? We gathered the best of the best in this 25+ picture gallery after the jump!
